S & N Pump and Rewind Ltd in the U.K. houses its own purpose built test facility to enable 'Performance Testing' of Borehole/Deepwell and Vertical Turbine pump units to 300HP, through various ranges on the equipment's curve, from 'Shut Off Valve' to 'Full Flow'. The flow (GPM, LPS, etc) and PSI are recorded with the PSI being converted to TDH (Total Dynamic Head). All findings are recorded and filed, then sent out to the customer (see Quality Assurance). Larger equipment is tested using back up generators and transformers. On and Off-Loading can be carried out at our premises using our forklift facilities, or trucks can be backed into our works where our overhead cranes (total combined lift of 6 tonne) can remove and load all equipment carried. Cleaning Facilities include (and are not limited to) Steam Cleaning and availability of Blast Cabinets, which are available to grit and/or bead blast all component parts. To ensure a very high standard of 'Wet Wound' winding and safeguard against contamination of the submersible winding wires, S & N winds all motors in a controlled environment.

All different designations for different procedures of repair have been introduced to the daily production of work from our facility. Workshop and Store plans depict all areas and procedures they contain, including cleaning, painting, quarantine areas, winding, etc. The
stores carries a comprehensive selection of spares for both motors and
pumps which is subject to our customer base requirements. Parts range
from but are not limited to, cables, motor tails, impellers, shafts, motor
thrust assemblies, mechanical seals and breather diaphragms. S & N maintains stocks of PVC and PE/PA winding wires, based on customer requirements and critical requirement. The sizes cover units from 7.5kW up to, and not limited to, 3.3KV. Due to the fact that S & N is an independent repair facility, we can repair any type of motor and/or pump, as long as specialist parts are still available. However, even when specialist parts are not available, parts can be manufactured to original equipment specifications.
